Interesting article. I must say though that I am a strong advocate of healthy eating, staying active. While the study does seem to show some scientific evidence to help slow down aging, I think the task is simpler than it seems.

All of this scientific research is great but sometimes I think it makes it a little more complicated than it really needs to be. As I said, healthy diet and active living.

This is exciting news. I guess we've been searching for a fountain of youth for centuries now. It'd be great if we could just figure out a way for people to be healthier as they age. This alone would help people live longer because they'd live a more active lifestyle as they got healthier.

I am convinced that there are ways to at least slow down the aging process. That alone would be an accomplishment.

Thanks for letting us know about this. I had somehow missed the original showing of "60 Minutes."

Wow! I hope this is true. I personally love red wine and have a glass every night. What they're saying makes sense, so I hope that they find this info to be accurate. I am a big fan of science, so I definitely believe it is possible.

I think I would totally go for the restricted calorie diet... j/k.

Yeah, one of my buddies was talking about this supplement from a company he was building a system for. Very interesting.

Resveratrol is an interesting product although it seems as though many people have used it as an excuse to chug-a-lug red wine. :-) Rexveratrol is found in the skin of red grapes so I'm wondering about the difference between wine and simply eating grapes? I assume that the wine is more concentrated and that's why it's preferable. I suspect that Resveratrol is only one component of a long and healthy life. Lifestyle has got to play a significant part, too.

It's the fountain of youth.

My husband had a heart attack several years ago. He's in great shape, but has heart disease. Doctor told him that drinking a glass of red wine every day would be good for him.

Very interesting! The benefits of a product like this would be wonderful if it works and is affordable to the general population.

Looking and feeling younger starts with preventing many diseases that we see in society today.

I had no idea how effective resveratrol was in slowing down the aging process. We have been taking it, in low doses, as a part of our nutritional supplements for some time. I am completely amazed by some of the results. We will increase out intake. Thank you for the information. We both enjoy you blog. Thanks!

It sounds like this could be a very worthwhile dietary addition, mind you I expect it will take a real slog to get it approved as it’s bound to be considered pretty controversial.

Thanks for posting about this, it's always interesting to see new ideas like this being aired.
