An antiaging supplement is desirable because we don’t want to grow old.  In fact, we want to stay young.  Right?  On your birthday each year, especially over the age of 40 – or maybe 50 – do you really ‘feel’ another year older?

When I turned 50, people who were trying to make me feel better said that 50 is the new 30.  You may laugh at that – or maybe you agree – but for me, I feel more in my thirties than I do 50.  And, I’d like to keep feeling young.  To help in those efforts I began to use a transresveratrol supplement several years before turning 50.

The reality is that many of us eat diets that are high in fat, sugar and artificial ingredients.  Fast foods have increased nearly 2,000% over the past 30 years, and one third of many people’s total calories come from fast food.  High fat foods, and diets high in carbs, are making us sick.

High fat diets are associated with inflammation in your body and inflammation is the root cause of many illnesses and diseases.  Previously many health challenges such as overweight, obesity, diabetes and heart diseases primarily affected people as the age.  Today, the rates of these types of illnesses are high for the younger population as well.

Every day you make the choice of what to eat.  Maybe you have decided to eat healthier, and you think that now you’re good.  I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there is bad news.  First, many of us have good intentions and yet the reality is that we can’t always eat healthy.  Plus, no matter if you eat at home where you know the quality of food you bought, or you eat out and can’t be sure of the quality of food you get – either way, the nutritional value of our produce is not what it used to be.  A 2004 study of 43 crops showed a decline in the nutrient content of up to 38% over the past 50 years.

What scientists and researchers are discovering, and validating in their research, is that we need to supplement our diets – no matter how well we eat – with food-based, natural supplements.  The results are best with natural supplements that are truly natural and most like the way you would find them in food as possible.
